Ted Cleary holds three degrees from Columbia University, including a B.A. and M.A. in English and Comparative Literature. He graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and was granted a fellowship to the Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He won repeat Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar honors at Columbia Law School and is an attorney in good standing with the New York State Bar. For writing excellence, Columbia University awarded him the Cornell Woolrich Fellowship and the Seymour Brick Memorial Prize. Both privately and through schools in New York and New Jersey, he has prepared thousands of students for the SAT I / SAT II, PSAT, SSAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, TOEFL, and other standardized and entrance exams. Among teachers, he remains popular and was included twice in Who's Who Among American Teachers. Regarding college admissions essays, for more than 20 years he has given seminars and closely edited the essays of several hundred students worldwide who have gone on to attend many of the top universities in the nation and the world.
